This week the two prompts for the Ligo Haibun Challenge are famous quotes:
Join the challenge. Write a few hundred words, a couple of paragraphs, in lovely prose and include a haiku as a close (some incorporate more than one haiku into the body of their prose which is fine also). For more information click here. check out the other two hosts, Nightlake and Pirate/Managua and read below for some news about the Ligo Haibun Challenge.
I have chosen “Earth laughs in flowers” by one of my favorite writers, Ralph Waldo Emerson, for my haibun this week:

~
In the air a sounding of mirth! Flowers, joyful in playful abandonment, singing and laughing, a most splendid array. Brilliance of color, pattern, design. Lost in the happy paradise of Mother Nature’s creation, I shall laugh with the flowers, join the profusion of pleasurable sensations – how can I not.
Surrounding of blossoms, peaking playfully around the corner, echoing in the distance, and all around – a giggle of colors, the riches of each petal’s artless glee, unfolding for all to partake. Glorious explosion of colorful laughter. Myriad of joyful expression; the flowers of my world.
beauty so joyous ensuing laughter unfolds flowering blossoms Thank you, Penny~*~
